Our 2026 Space Coast Raks event features the international superstar Vanessa of Cairo & guest instructor Bianca Namaste.

From “Practice” to “Performance “- there are so many elements along the way that take us from all of our drilling and technique, classes and workshops—to a smooth, polished and professional performance at any level…

This weekend is designed for teachers, professionals, high-level students, and dedicated student students of any level .

Saturday will be about the “Practice” aspect of our artform, and Sunday will take the elements we worked on to the next level and set you up for a successful, purposeful and intentional “Performance” experience—whether it be choreographed or improvised or both!

This weekend immersive is specifically designed by Vanessa for this exciting and important topic. There are all types of performances and opportunities available in today’s world, and Vanessa would love to help you be the most prepared you can for any circumstance. Not only does she have years of experience as a performer dancing daily shows in Cairo as well as producing group shows for her dance company… Vanessa has had the opportunity to continue her education and learn from the best in the business not only in Middle Eastern dance, but also in classic dance forms. Vanessa’s knowledge and experience is unparalleled —and not only will she help you understand how to be fluid and flexible when it comes to performance, but she will give you the tools that will help you take the guest work out!

LEARN from those who have done it and who continue to create opportunities and shape dancers all over the world!

Vanessa will also be taking special elements that she uses in her mentorship program to share with the participants of this weekend experience.

This experience will be broken into Modules, not “Class Topics” there will be (2) 2-hour blocks of work that will happen each day after our amazing warmup and grounding with Bianca. 

Day One: “Practice “

Training for General Technique, Orientale, Folklore & Staging

Day Two: “Performance “

Training with Elements from Day One with Props (bring Veil , Asaya, Meleya, zills—Vanessa will choose what she wants)

Training with Musicality for Choreo, Improvisation or a mixture of both 

Staging and implementation of all elements reviewed
