Class Description: The differentiator isn't the rhythms — it's that most dancers dance either the rhythm or the melody, never both. Dancing only one = predictable. Dancing both = memorable / has impact.

Recognition - Basic Recognition of 3 Middle Eastern Rhythms and melodic phrasing. Learn how to recognize basic rhythms of Malfouf, Masmoudi Kabir & Samai.
Acknowledgment — knowing how to move to BOTH, this is the part most dancers skip over. traveling on a malfouf, falling in and out of a masmoudi kabir or Samai
Creation — using combos as a springboard: dance it as-is, modify it, or pull just a piece of it into something new. Can even be used as an improvisational tool
