​Costume Borrowing Policy

We are happy to offer costume borrowing for approved students and performers. By accepting a borrowed costume, you agree to the following terms:

• The costume remains the property of Hip Motions/Nadirah Johara at all times.

• A refundable security deposit of $75 is required before the costume is released.

• The costume must be returned by the agreed-upon return date in the same condition in which it was received, including all pieces, accessories, and embellishments.

• Costumes must be returned clean, undamaged, and in wearable performance condition. Normal wear is expected; however, excessive wear, stains, odors, missing pieces, alterations, tears, broken closures, missing beads, or other damage may result in partial or complete forfeiture of the deposit.

• If the costume is not returned, is lost, or is returned in a condition that makes it unusable, the borrower agrees to pay a non-return/replacement fee of $250. The security deposit may be applied toward this fee, but does not satisfy the full replacement cost.

• Any repair or cleaning costs beyond normal maintenance may be deducted from the security deposit.

• The borrower assumes responsibility for the costume from the time it is received until it is returned and accepted by Hip Motions/Nadirah Johara.

By borrowing a costume, the borrower acknowledges that they have read and agree to these terms and accept financial responsibility for the costume while it is in their possession.

I have read and understand these expectations.

I have paid the $75 costume deposit.
